Opens tomorrow, June 21st.  The 64th annual season of the Aspen Music Festival begins tomorrow, bringing classical music - opera, orchestral concerts, chamber music - and many more venues for the next 8 weeks. 

For those looking for something outside traditonal classical check out Night (July 16, Harris Hall), a collaboration between pianist Simone Dinnerstein and singer-songwriter Tift Merritt; and recital by Aspen Percussion Ensemble (July 29, Harris Hall).

Snowmass Summer of Free Music starts tonight, June 20th

Location: Fanny Hill at Snowmass Village

For over two decades, the faithful locals and visitors have trekked to Fanny Hill at Snowmass Village every Thursday evening for free concerts.  Bring your family, friends, blankets...and enjoy this year's lineup:

 (June 20) Chicago blues band - Freddy Jones; (June 27) British-rocker band, the Dunwells; (July 5) zydeco CJ Chenier; (July 11) New Orleans rockers the Revivalists; (July 18) Colorado acoustic quintet Mountain Standard Time; (July 25) Caribbean-inspired singer J Boog; (August 1) Louisiana bludes standout Tab Benoit; (August 8) soulman Nigel Hall; and rounding out the season (August 15) groove keyboardists Robert Walter and 20th Congress.

Hosted by Gail Simmons, judge of Bravo’s Top Chef, featuring a never-ending spread of desserts. Celebrity Chef 5K Charity Run
People coming to town to attend the Classic and Aspen locals looking for a fun, energetic way to raise money for a good cause join their favorite Classic talent at the Celebrity Chef 5K Charity Run. Jog with celebrity chefs and wine experts through the city streets and parks of Aspen, while raising money for Wholesome Wave. So lace up your running shoes and prepare to take in the beautiful Aspen scenery as you run or walk for a great cause!

Rafting and kayaking are in full swing on the rivers; some of our Staff at The Innsbruck Aspen have already been out and had a terrific time!  Maroon Bells is now open and the biking is incredible…or just to drive up and enjoy, it is truly breathtaking!

The Snowmass Mammoth Fest is officially presented by the 10th Annual Snowmass Chili Pepper & Brew Fest, and is featuring more great music, Late Night shows, and more. The 2013 festival will feature two days and nights of music and continue the traditional weekend of specialty chili and microbrew competitions with tastings.

A favorite among locals, Sundays feature top bluegrass musicians from around Colorado performing in this idyllic Rocky Mountain setting. The free open-air concerts are held from noon to 3pm on Sundays just outside the Sundeck (on top of Aspen Mountain). The lineup varies each week.

Music...Events....Food&Wine Classic - All part of 2013 Summer Aspen/Snowmass

FOOD & WINE magazine will present its 31st Anniversary FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen to be held June 14 - 16, 2013. This is an annual weekend of cooking demonstrations, food samplings and wine tastings - all in the spectacular setting of Aspen, Colorado. You'll see some of the world's most famous chefs...including many of those we all see and love on the food network channels.  Aspen is a spectacular backdrop for all the white cooking demo and wine tasting tents that will be placed around town!

Snowmass is the place to be for FREE music. Snowmass Village and JAS (Jazz Aspen/Snowmass)have joined together since 1994 to bring us summers full of free concerts that everyone, visitors and locals alike, enjoy! Throughout the summer there is a wide variety of musical genres presented, everything from reggae to classical jazz. The concerts are held at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall on Snowmass Mountain. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit in. Food is allowed in the fenced in area. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be carried into the fenced in area, but beverages will be available for purchase in the fenced in area. Dogs and their owners have a designated area on the hillside above Woodrun V.
Music starts at 6:15 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.

2013 USA PRO CHALLENGE 8/19 – 8/25 Aspen & Snowmass will be the official start of the 2013 USA Pro Challenge. A mountainous and treacherous stretch of nature’s majesty sure to test the riders’ will and hang their confidence thousands of feet above their comfort level. The USA Pro Challenge is August 19 - 25, 2013 -- 7 Days, 683 miles, the world's best pro riders, 60 mph, 1 inch of rubber and it's in the Rocky Mountains. This is the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.
