Aspen, Colorado is the center of the fall foliage explosion.
The last 2 weeks of September and the first week of October the mountains are incredible with extraordinary reds and golds as the leaves turn.  We have some of the most scenic mountains in the U.S. and the fall foliage explosion is getting ready to happen....COME JOIN US!!

Before the snow comes....and it is coming...you can visit the ghost town of Ashcroft, hike the highest trailed pass in Colorado, and photography...well, Maroon Bells is one of the most photographed areas in this country.  We have listed a few of the extraordinary areas in and around Aspen that you might want to come up and enjoy before it's all covered in white!

Independence Pass
It is 12,095 feet, and you see one incredible view after another and some of the most accessible views of the aspen color in our area. Lots of spots to pull over, and Lincoln Creek Road is a great spot to take amazing pics and do some leaf-peeping!

Maroon Bells
The Maroon Bells are, perhaps, the most photographed mountains in the U.S. You've probably seen the Bells and the lake on postcards, posters and in films.  It's pretty extraordinary on a regular basis...but with the changing of the leaves, it's breathtaking.  The Forest Service has special regulations about accessing the area, so you can drive up before 9:00am, after 5:00pm, in between the free buses in town will take you to Aspen Highlands where you can purchase tickets and take the bus upon to the Bells.  The RFTA bus system in our town is free and it's a well-oiled machine so you'll have a great time and it's easily accessible.

Castle Creek Road
This dirt road eventually goes over Pearl Pass, and you'll need 4wd, but not before passing through incredible colors. Ten miles from where it leaves Maroon Creek Road, the ghost town of Ashcroft can be reached by regular passenger vehicles. A few buildings remain of what was a once booming mining town.

A half a mile beyond the town is the trailhead for the Electric Pass Trail. The trail ascends 3900 ft. in about five miles to reach Electric Pass, the highest named and trail accessible pass in Colorado at 13,500 ft.

The views are amazing in the next few weeks in all of these areas...so, COME JOIN US at the Innsbruck Aspen and enjoy all tha Fall in the Rocky Mountains has to offer.
